The process technology offered was developed for the recovery of REE from a hard rock deposit of Ambadongar, Gujarat. Ambadongar ore deposit have potential to meet the requirement of REE in India producing much less radioactive waste than that produced in the current practice of recovering REE from beach sands.

1. The process technology is first of its kind developed in India for exploitation of hard rock deposit to recover REE
2. The process technology developed utilized standard and scalable industrial process unit operations viz., comminution, beneficiation, leaching, precipitation etc.
3. The final product of the process is a good quality Rare Earth Double Sulphate of mixed REE, mainly consisting of La, Ce, Nd and Pr.
4. This product can be further separated into individual Rare Earth Elements, which are of high value.

The technology offered here is a process flowsheet developed for the recovery of REE from the ankeritic ore body of the Ambadongar deposit of Gujarat. Since, the process was developed on the bench scale, the interested party need to take up the process and make a feasibility report on their expense. The technology offered hereby differs from regular products made available for technology transfer. After feasibility report generation, the authorized party can scale up the process as per their capability and requirements. The specifications (land requirement, manpower etc.) and other input costs will be dependent on the scale of operation chosen by the party.
