Civil Engineering Division (CED) provides support for development of infrastructure related to building services & maintenance of existing services for various technological programs of BARC.
Mandate of CED is Planning, Coordinating, Reviewing, Executing & Maintaining the infrastructure Projects of BARC (spread all over India). Activities of CED includes planning as per project requirements in coordination with users/TSD, invitation of tenders, evaluation of bids & execution of works at site and handing over to users. The planning is subject to regulatory clearance by various Safety committees viz., DSRCs, CFSRCs, etc. which are constituted by BARC safety council, wherever applicable .
CED has Quality Management System for meeting expectations of users by way of qualitative improvement in all aspects of its work, quantitative growth in value added services, adhering to prevailing safety and security practices and meeting committed targets through sound and systematic approach.
The work generally includes:
(a) Detailed estimation of work & tendering
(b) Execution of the project & handing over to the users
(c) Maintenance of the existing facilities
(d) Civil engineering support to various projects by other division of BARC through consultants.
(e) Sharing of Civil engineering expertise to other units of DAE and educational institutes spread all over India.
Apart from above activities, our engineers offers regulatory support to AERB & BSC by way of serving as members in working groups / specialist groups of various DSRCs/CFSRC/Tender Committees in various capacities.

Development of formwork technology for casting slabs in areas having space constraints.
Development of program for live monitoring of projects and access to real-time site data.
Development of painting methodology which can be carried out minimum time
