DISPENSARY SERVICES

The CHSS Zonal Dispensaries inside Mumbai are located as per the geography of CHSS beneficiaries. There are thirteen Zonal Dispensaries in Mumbai suburbs, Navi Mumbai and Dombivali and three Occupational Health dispensaries at Trombay, Vashi Industrial Complex of BRIT and Kalyan for providing primary treatment to the CHSS beneficiaries. The dispensaries provide primary and emergency health care services to all CHSS beneficiaries and guide patients with chronic ailments by keeping a regular and strict follow up by attending to them on all working days. In addition to curative services, the dispensaries also conduct preventive clinics like Well Baby Clinic, Antenatal Clinic, Family Welfare Clinic etc., thus, providing preventive and promotive health care services.

Reasonably well equipped to tackle all medical emergencies and minor surgical procedures, we are able to identify any cardiac emergency having been provided with E.C.G. MACHINE and a trained staff, Asthmatic patients can take a sigh of relief as we have a NEBULISER for prompt relief, Diabetic patients can bank on us for adequate control of their blood sugar levels by monitoring random blood sugar as and when required or by checking FBS/PLBS on Saturdays with prior appointment with the help of GLUCOMETER. We also have Pulse Oximeter for assessment of severity and improvement in the management of serious patients. In addition to out-patient care there are facilities for day care beds for emergency management and observation of patients.

We also take care of Antenatal patients from the time of conception till 24 weeks of gestation or till registration at hospital. We also provide postnatal care and appropriate advice on adoption of family planning methods. We also comply with the guidelines of Indian Academy of Paediatrics for immunization as a part of our WELL BABY CLINIC conducted once a week. As a part of preventive care we conduct periodic health talks and display health related posters. Medical Social Workers attend the dispensaries as per scheduled time to provide a broad spectrum of counselling service to beneficiaries.

We also offer FIRST-AID facilities to non CHSS cases during emergency. All clinical services in the dispensary are totally online thus achieving paperless work.

These all above clinical services are available in all the CHSS zonal dispensaries.

Double Shift Disps.: Deonar-E(9), Deonar-W(8) and Mandala(12)

24 X 7 emergency services are available after official hours at Trombay Dispensary. These emergency services are provided by the male nursing staff.

Appointment System:

All CHSS beneficiaries can attend the dispensary without an appointment. They are attended on First Come First Serve basis. At the time of consultation itself appointments for Consultants at hospital, Pathological or Radiological services if required are provided by the doctor.

Token Number System:

In dispensary patient has to meet attending Doctors according to the token number given by PA's. Token number for each patients are generated by the Computers as per the patient arrival at dispensary first come first serve basis.

Token numbers are generally combination of 3/4 digits in which 1^st two digit indicates the Room Number which varies according to Consultant. Last Two digits are the real token number from the series.
