GYNAECOLOGY DEPARTMENT

Department of Obstetrics & Gynaecology is DNB accredited with five Consultants and six Resident Medical officers, managing outdoor, indoor and 24/7 services with regard to labour room and gynaecological casualty.The department is accrediated for the DNB program by the National Board of Examination and having 3 sanctioned seats of Post Graduate RMO. Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology offers regular as well as emergency care with modern amenities. It caters the women from puberty till menopause. The department is accreditated for the two posts of post graduate teaching Antenatal, postnatal and family welfare OPD's are conducted weekly. An articulated system, in conjunction with various departments like Genetics, Radiology, Pediatrics and Anesthesiology deals with high risk pregnancies. Epidural labour analgesia facilities are provided with good maternal and neonatal outcome. |
Along with Gynaecological OPD, adolescent and infertility clinics are also conducted. In the Infertility clinics ovulation induction, follicular studies as well as hysterosalphingography are performed in indicated cases. Preventive oncology clinic provides cancer screening for asymptomatic women by cervical cytology, gynaecological as well as breast examination and transvaginal sonography facility.
All conventional, special and emergency obstetrics and gynaecological procedures are performed routinely. Diagnostic as well as operative hysteroscopies-laparoscopies are done in infertility cases. Women are provided with option of minimal invasive surgeries like laparoscopic hysterectomies. Surgeries for genito-urinary prolapse, meshplasty for stress urinary incontinence and pelvic reconstructive surgeries are also performed.
