NURSING SERVICES

Nursing is a profession within the health care sector focused on the care of individuals, families, and communities so they may attain, maintain, or recover optimal health and quality of life. The Nursing Division caters to the needs of all the Patients. Nursing services are supervised by Matron Office.

Functions:
  • Responsibility for allocation of Nurses and Subordinate staff.
  • Overall Supervision and Guidance with regular rounds in the Hospital and Departments.
  • Accountable for safe and efficient Nursing Services to be provided to the Patients in the Hospital.
  • Ensuring proper welfare of the Patient and relatives.
  • Providing Counselling and Guidance to the Nursing Staff and Paramedical Staff.
  • Maintains discipline between the Nursing Staff and Subordinates.
  • Implementation of Institutional Rules/ Regulation and Policies.
  • Participating in Intra Hospital Meets like HOD meetings, HMC meetings, Safety Committee meetings, Housekeeping Committee meetings etc.
  • Participating as a departmental representative in Selection Committee while selecting Group D Staff and Nursing Staff.
  • Receiving Reports from Morning and Night Supervisors.
  • Investigating Complaints/Grievances and Suggestions, and accordingly taking Corrective Action.
  • Evaluating Confidential Reports of Nursing Staff and Subordinates.
  • Arranging Staff Development Programmes, Clinical Meets, Seminar etc.
  • Maintaining Good Standard of Cleanliness and Good Hospital Environment.
  • Acting as a Liaison officer between Nursing Department and Hospital higher authorities.
