OPTHALMOLOGY DEPARTMENT

Ophthalmology Department of BARC Hospital is accredited by the National Board of Examination, New Delhi for Diplomat of National Board (DNB) programs. The department is having 3 Consultants and 3 DNB Residential Medical Officers and 1 Visiting Consultant. And is sanctioned for the two seats of Post Graduate Residentail Medical Officers. All the records in Opthalmic Department is generated on Computer then & there by doctors.

Special Clinics:

  • Retina clinic is conducted on all Thursdays when fluorescein angiography for indicated patients is performed.
  • Glaucoma patients are evaluated and followed-up on Fridays when special tests like gonioscopy, pachymetry and perimetry are performed.
  • Synaptophore clinic is held once a week when patients requiring synaptophore exercises are called to undergo the same.
