Overview

Inductively Coupled Plasma Mass Spectrometer (ICPMS) is an import substitute and a versatile analytical instrument capable of trace / ultra-trace / isotope ratio analysis of elements in aqueous samples. It is a compact, reliable and highly sensitive analytical tool with 20x106 counts per second per part per million part of Indium and detection limit is parts per billion to parts per trillion for most of the elements. ICPMS finds numerous applications in various fields like Nuclear, Environment, Geological, Forensic; industries like Semi-conductor, Chemical/ Pharmaceutical, Petro-chemical and Research & Development institutes.

Inductively Coupled Plasma Mass Spectrometer (ICPMS), an import substitute, is a very versatile analytical instrument capable of trace and ultra-trace analysis and isotope ratio analysis in aqueous samples.

 SALIENT FEATURES OF THE ICPMS

  • ICPMS is a compact, reliable and high sensitivity analytical tool consisting of an inductively coupled plasma ion source, quadrupole mass analyzer, rotary & turbomolecular pump for clean vacuum, easy sample introduction, channel electron multiplier detector and PC based interface & control.

  • Its sensitivity is 20x106 counts per second per 1 ppm of Indium and detection limits are in the range of ppt to ppb for most of the elements across the periodic table.

 APPLICATIONS

  • ICPMS finds numerous applications in various fields like Nuclear, Environment, Geological, Forensic; industries like Semi-conductor, Chemical/ Pharmaceutical, Petro-chemical and Research & Development institutes.

Inductively Coupled Plasma Mass Spectrometer (ICPMS) is a very versatile analytical instrument capable of trace and ultra-trace analysis and isotope ratio analysis in aqueous samples. It consists of an inductively coupled plasma ion source, quadrupole mass analyzer, rotary & turbomolecular pump for clean vacuum, easy sample introduction, PC based interface & control & Channel electron multiplier detector. Its sensitivity is 20x106 counts per second per 1 ppm of Indium and detection limits are ppt to ppb for most of the elements.

    • Normal measuring instruments like multimeters & 100MHz Oscilloscopes
    • Function generator ( 1MHz )

    d. Space

    • 300 square feet space is required for assembly, testing & installation of the Inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometer. Venting arrangement is required for Ozone produced by the from plasma

    • 230 Volts, 32 Ampere, Three Phase, 4kVA with RF ground

    MATERIAL AVAILABILITY

    • Most of the components are available within the country and some components need to be imported through local agents.

    MANPOWER

    • A physics post graduate, electronics engineer, mechanical engineer & 2 trained technicians will be required for the development of this instrument.

    Who Should apply


    Interested parties with Engineering & Scientific knowledge, good financial background and adequate experience of products manufacturing & fabrication with technical capability in the area of interested technology and having or interested in setting –up facilities for production would be preferred.
