Introduction
Hydraulics is extensively used in material handling systems. The material handling equipments use electro-hydraulic valves to control initial acceleration, maximum velocity and final deceleration of the hydraulic actuator. The Hydraulic circuit with Acceleration Deceleration Control Valve developed is a cost effective alternative to the electro-hydraulic control valve used for this purpose.
Advantages of the system
This is a very simple circuit to control jerk at start up and stopping of a hydraulic lifting arrangement like a hydraulic lift or a material handling equipment. It uses a Acceleration-Deceleration Control Valve (ADCV) to control the jerk. For manufacturing of the circuit and the ADCV, materials are readily available in local markets. No imported components are required. The biggest advantage of the circuit is no pump operation is required while lowering down the lift.
Applications
The valve can be used as substitute for costly and imported electro-hydraulic valve which is used to control the jerk while starting and stopping of a hydraulic actuator in any material handling equipments like hydraulic levitators (lifts).
Infrastructure
Basic machining operations like turning, drilling, shaping and milling are involved in the manufacture of valve. The valve can be manufactured in a general manufacturing shop. For valve testing power pack and PLC are required.
Manpower
Two skilled machinists, an electrician, a fitter, a mechanical engineer are able to manufacture the circuit.
