Triode Sputter Ion Pump

  • Application Areas:
    • These pumps operate in the pressure range 10 -3 to 10-10 Torr. They do not require the services of a backing pump continuously but only need initial fore pressure of 10-3 Torr. The discharge current being proportional to the background pressure, the pumps also serve as pressure measuring gauges. These pumps are used to create UHV (Ultra High Vacuum) in charged particle accelerators, surface analytical spectrometers, mass spectrometers etc. Technology for 35, 70, 140 & 270 LPS capacity pumps. The triode sputter ion pumps are used to create ultra high vacuum in charged particle accelerators, surface analytical spectrometers, mass spectrometers etc. R&D institutes, universities may require such types of pumps.

Optical Spectrometer
This spectrometer developed by BARC is compact, light weight, portable and cost effective. It is based on Diffraction Grating and Linear Array Detector (the Image Sensor). Unlike conventional spectrum analyzers, there is no mechanical scanning (through rotation of grating) to capture the spectrum. This makes it faster and wear free

Compact Full Range Vacuum Gauge

  • Application Areas:
    • The full range vacuum gauge developed in BARC, is a single flange mounted gauge that works over the entire pressure range of 760 Torr to less than 10-9 Torr.
    • Vacuum measurement forms a critical requirement in various instruments such as charged particle accelerators, surface analytical equipment, mass spectrometers, etc

    • A workshop with Machining and assembly facility.
    • One Fitter trained in clean assembly and vacuum procedures.
    • One electronics engineer and one assistant for fabricating control unit.More

3kJ/s, 30kV, 200mA Capacitor Charging Power Supply

  • Application Areas:
    • High performance lasers
    • Medical sterilization
    • Rock crushing
    • Arc lamps, flash lamps, and flash x-ray systems
  • Technology Transfer Fee: Rs. 3,60,000/-
  • Infrastructure and manpower requirements
    • 3 phase power supply through 32 A MCCB. Standard laboratory equipments for testing high voltage supply are required.  A minimum distance of 5 m should be maintained between the charged system and the working personnel for electrical safety reasons. Proper grounding (~1Ω) must be provided to the CCPS prior to the operation or testing. Dimension of CCPS (standard as per 6U industrial rack) are 26.4cm X 48cm X 52cm
    •  An electrical engineer, a mechanical fitter & one trained technician would be needed to make it.More
