Fruit Vegetable Dip Treatment Machine (FVDTM) is useful for sequential dip treatment of fruits and/or vegetables. BARC has earlier developed a lab scale process for extension of shelf life of litchi fruit using sequential dip treatment performed manually. The present machine is developed to enable scaled up, hands-free and automated operation for treatment of litchi and it can be customized for other fruits/vegetables as well.
SPECIFICATIONS
- Dip treatment as well as drying of sample fruit is automated with programmable parameters.
- PLC controlled automated prototype machine developed mainly for the litchi preservation technology (available for transfer separately).
SALIENT FEATURES
- Can be operated by minimally trained operators.
- Current design treats 10kg/h which is amenable for scale up.
- Present design includes three treatment tanks but the number can be varied depending on the specific requirement.
