LOW BACKGROUND GAS FLOW BETA COUNTER
This gas flow type beta counting system has twin advantages of low background and high efficiency as compared to a G.M counter. It is useful for counting of samples having very low specific beta activity which becomes difficult with conventional G.M counters having high background and low efficiency. The system has a main counter & a guard counter both operating in the GM region and works on the principle of anticoincidence.
