Partially Hydrolyzed Guar Gum For Dietary Fiber Applications

Proposed technology is methodology for purificartion of Guar gum and its subsequent radiation processing for menufacturing hydrolized Guar gum with desired Mw (Approximately 5000-10000 DA) to be used as soluable type of dietary fiber.

  • Application Areas:
    • Can be directly used as soluble type of dietary fiber for clinical  applications
    • Can be added into various food products as dietary fiber such as juices soups, biscuits etc
    • Can be added to various nutraceutical formulations to improve nutritional quality of food

    • Guar gum    -   is available in the local market
    • Overhead stirrer with motor
    • Food irradiator (commercial food irradiation facilities available)

Micro Propagation of Banana

Process for Retaining Pericarp Colour and Extending Shelf Life of Litchi

Demand for litchi fruit is quite high due to its delicious taste, unique aroma, and juicy nature, but supply is limited due to its highly perishable nature. The color of the fruit turns brown soon after harvest. Fruits also get spoiled soon after harvest due to physiological and microbiological changes.

    • Rapid multiplication & Early harvesting of Disease free elite varieties; Uniform size and age of plants; High quality fruit bunches; Available throughout the year

Mass Multiplication Medium of Biofungicide Trichoderma spp

Trichoderma spp. act as a biofungicide against many plant pathogenic fungi and have been found to induce systemic resistance in plants. The field application of Trichoderma requires multiplication on mass scale.

  • Application Areas- Agriculture sector in general.

Fruit Vegetable Dip Treatment Machine

Fruit Vegetable Dip Treatment Machine (FVDTM) is useful for sequential dip treatment of fruits and/or vegetables. BARC has earlier developed a lab scale process for extension of shelf life of litchi fruit using sequential dip treatment performed manually. The present machine is developed to enable scaled up, hands-free and automated operation for treatment of litchi and it can be customized for other fruits/vegetables as well.

  • Application Areas
    • Could be used by most companies manufacturing biopesticides.
    • Organic manure manufacturers can also use this technology.

NISARGRUNA Biogas plant Based on Biodegradable waste resource

The plant can covert biodegradable waste to biogas and high quality manure using a biphasic aerobic/anaerobic process. The plant capacity can vary from 100kh per day to 10 ton per day.

    • Processing of biodegradable waste resource into biogas and weed free manure
  • Technology Transfer Fee: Rs. 25,000/-
  • Infrastructure and manpower requirements
    • Biodegradable Waste Resource generated at large/small kitchens, vegetable markets, abattoir, etc
    • Table for sorting the waste, grinder, solar water heater, compressor, various scrubbers, gas meter, biogas balloon, generator based on biogas (optional), etc. depending on the capacity of the plant.
    • Space requirement depends on the capacity of the plant
    • One/Two attendants for segregating the waste, starting the process and overall monitoring.More

Soil Organic Carbon Detection Kit [SOCDK]

  • Applications
    • This kit would be useful to great extent in agriculture sector, Agriculture universities & soil-testing labs for research purpose
    • It is user friendly as any farmer may himself check the percentage of organic carbon in his field before sowing of the crop and at the harvest of the crop. It gives quick and reliable results.
    • Helps in evaluation of the impact of organic carbon amendments supplemented periodically. It gives idea of amount of organic manure additions. It is economical and time saving.
    • Helps in taking the corrective measures for maintaining the soil organic carbon at optimum levels and evaluating the effectiveness of the organic manure supplements.

    • The development of kit requires small laboratory with distilled water facility, analytical balance for weighing reagents and magnetic stirrer for mixing reagent
